It's a bit different. With Unbreaking, the tool has a 1/(lvl + 1) chance of not loosing durability, so Level 1 you lose durability 1/2 of the time, Level 2 you lose durability 1/3 of the time, etc.; essentially adding one more lifetime per level. Whereas with Reinforced you increase the life...

You've got a couple things sorely wrong... Vanilla tools are cheap as dirt to get, once you get a couple of villagers one Diamond pickaxe == 2 stacks of sugarcane. Next, Reinforced != Unbreaking. A Diamond pickaxe with Unbreaking 3 lasts 4 times as long as usual. A Cobalt pickaxe with Reinforced...

I agree to some extent; Thaumcraft makes it a lot easier than it should. The only problem is that I'll miss my Thaumium Tinker's Construct tools :P.

In my opinion having all of those converters is a very bad idea and will take this promising mod into the wrong direction :/. I feel like it will take away the uniqueness, but do as you please, it's not my mod after all.
