I think you may have read to much into my post, the TL;DR was meant to be slightly sarcastic, but now I see that didn't go over well. The only time I mention tekkit negatively or "need" is in the TL;DR FTB is young, but the community is old, getting its start with the maps and the lets plays...

Pipe wire generally solves these kind of problems, if your willing to make iron gates that is :P
