The stupid one here is only you because you allows this kind of behaviour in a conversation. Greg removed crashcode, it was an answer to attack, a warning. Why the hell the creation should be fixed? Mdiyo "fixed" something which was not broken by the vision of author. This was an invasion. If...

Yes, but this will remove the legacy, breaking chain of succession in versions, making my choice of pack invalid, for example. The optimal way was stated here: 2 packs - with and without GT, as a warning to Greg and as a lesser evil to users.

Remove it and load the game. What the problem, really? Or you need a special Ignore/Retry/Cancel dialog from developers doing this for fun, not money? I mean this behaviour would requare from Greg to mess with Forge modloading mechanism. Removal will assault GT end-users, so you are not better...

Crash is an exceptional state defined to terminate a program in a potential event of data loss or hardware damage. Mods were incompatible by concept, so GT terminates itself to notify player. No shady deal in a middle of gameplay. Malware is used to terminate program to make this damage instead...

And even you are biased towards "malware" concept. I think theEpoch was right: Everything was already discussed here

This is wrong. But if I am wrong - correct me: GT adds some good crossmod interop, with thaumcraft for example. No, it is not as bad as well known BTW.

Don't spill the words. If GT whould have automatic installation like a virus via email, syranges, dirty hands whatever this will be a third-party attack. But this was about a certain configuration you signed by installing this on your minecraft in a crystal-clear mind.

But they are allowing this, isn't it? This is because this is not a enterprise solution you paid for. This is developed by people, not faceless corporations, and you, as end-user, will sometimes catch errors based not on managment errors or production failures, but on human flaws. Am I...

There 2 cases: All mods technically are illegal by minecraft license(but Notch doesn't prohibit this) and the second one is: Gregs code was violated by mDiyo and Greg refuses to tolerate that. What the problem, guys? Was it hard for mDiyo to ask Greg about possible variants: to change recipe...

Going radical was a more good solution than that. Doing something shady to show that player configuration is bad in a middle of gameplay is not noble, I think

For me, for example, GT is a core in FTB Ultimate. I will prefer to assemble mods myself if FTB will not include GT in next iterations, instead of entering "Okay-mode" and forgetting GT xD

I have noted that author is overreacting to interventions, and I made an assumption about that because of a tensions in a community around his work. There is no point to burn him in a nether for this. If we will ask for absolute punishment we will become as the "childish-Greg-type": GT players...

People sometimes make errors, wrong decisions. It is ok that Greg crashed game intentionally, but if he will do this again without giving a note on a community responce, this will be a final point of this, I think. GregTech is a really good mod, which I prefer as main one in my playsessions. It...
