At the end of the day; of the 356 pages only roughly two of you have had a problem with this. I'm not coming out here to tell you can't have opinion, please by all means converse with everyone about how you like/dislike the modpack, I will say that the both times this conversation has cropped up...

Hey guys trying to give my base a make over and am rapidly losing inspiration so I thought I'd ask you folk; what are your favorite block layouts/configurations? what colors do you like together? and if you could send some inspiration that would be swell :D

Actually all you needed to do was make a whole new lexica and BEFORE opening the upgraded one, open up the newly made (non-upgraded) book then use the upgraded one like normal. This has been stated many, many times so no need for the sarcasm

I use any seeds I dont need. If you do that from the start you should be able to get a collection up by the time you need the garden soil, then you'll be able to add automation as your going.

My understanding is that it's supposed to make you work just a little harder for your magical crops. Once you get going and have a backlog of seeds it's not that hard to create the soil. :)

Use mutandis on grass to get your first mushroom then use that to make a spore

Actually I was also having this problem, I haven't commented on here because there is no point you either don't reply or blame the player so what's the point in offering constructive criticism? This mod pack creator/player relationship works both ways....
