Still having issues with the heart canister thing but it seems it isn't just Impact Flux or even a 1.7 thing as it's happening to me in Running Red too. Idk why they aren't working. Am I doing something wrong?

So I have a question maybe someone here can answer for me. I'm just starting out and I just managed to get my first red heart canister. I equip it and make sure my hunger is full so that I get the extra heart and... no extra heart. This isn't the first time this happened either it was happening...

I did try that and still nothing. I haven't modified the pack at all so I really don't know what's causing it but it's bothersome. I mean it's not like it's detrimental to my gameplay but I did earn those so I'd like to use them you know?

Am i the only one who isn't getting the extra hearts from the tinkers heart canisters? They don't seem to be doing anything. I put them in their correct slots on the tinkers armor gui but no extra hearts. I have 4 yellow and a green one

i can't download the pack i keep getting a message saying "error downloading modpack!!!" and i cannot figure out why. Other packs download, just tested it, but this one refuses to. Please help :) Edit: Nevermind it appears to have randomly fixed itself.

Hi I apologize if this has been answered but I couldn't find one so I decided to ask, in the description of this pack it has some reccomended java arguments. I was just curious as to what those arguments do for the pack/game. I've been searching and reading but I can't really find what they do...

OK so I've been searching and searching and searching and haven't found anything so I'm asking here. In the options tab of the launcher there's a little check box that says "Use optimization arguments for fast computers" what does this do?
