    Because a tekkit 1.2.5 server has different content than a technic 1.4.2 SSP.

    When I first heard of Tekkit/Technic I always thought of it to be the "Direwolf20 modpack" with a few extras. It got the job done if you couldn't get all the mods downloaded manually yourself so you can play with all the mods he did easily. It didn't do it in the most morally "correct" way, but...
