I'm pretty sure if you find dimlets and research them you should be able to create some dimensions and go to them as long as you can power them. I haven't tried though so maybe someone can verify?

You will have to go into mc edit and remove that item (using the item ID for a pulsar star) from the player inventory. The same thing happened to me when I was duplicating rewards for my daughter on our server. Gave myself a star and it crashed, and would not load. Looked up my inventory in MC...

There is no hosted server you can join unless you know someone who wants to host the modpack. You simply use the feed the beast launcher or the mym launcher to download the necessary files to start playing. If using the FTB launcher, look for the modpack in the 3rd Party modpacks tab. GL!
