1.4.7 is definitely gonna be more stable it also has red power whereas 1.5.2 pack has a vast difference in mods and and world gen due to natura and biomes o plenty

if you do start with the 1.5 beta pack i suggest you select the one with gregtech so the changes it makes wont bother you as much if you ever decide to play with it in the future
