Wait, so I could make an utterly massive solid-state breeder reactor with these? *laughs evilly*

Does anyone still use the coolant cells in the reactors?

But how do electric currents react to wormholes? Time for !!SCIENCE!!

I think what he's saying is that since the nether is 8x smaller, the point that connects to the overworld location does not exist in the nether.

From a gameplay standpoint, that makes sense. But redstone has been assumed to be a ferromagnetic iron-copper double salt in the past. Where does the aluminium come from?

Unfortunately that still requires an external mod, albeit a nigh-ubiquitous one. Maybe...maybe you can use a neutron beam to generate neutrinos? In that case you can make your reactors far off, but have the turbines close to your base.

But then we need to add a particle accelerator for the generation of the neutrino beam, and the efficiency of those things are incredibly bad. I can't think of a solution that isn't pure handwavium. EDIT: @Reika, what are your thoughts on Tesla's wardenclyffe tower? Is it feasible...

Nether portals=8x less wiring. For true point to point teleportation, you're stuck with tesseracts. As Reika has said before, he won't make his own portals because the energy required would be ridiculous. However, I like the orbital microwave sattelite idea. Maybe it could use an antenna (solar...

If you place a shaft (with mount) in a portal, it connects to the other side of the portal, if they're in the same place. Still waiting on an electricraft equivalent, if it's possible.

I can't believe we're talking magnetostatics again. They're pretty well balanced, in my humble opinion. I don't use them for anything except power teleportation, and even that I'm phasing out in favor of the shaft portals. The main reasons people used to use them were that they were very...

Wait...if neutrons know their source now (14 MeV fusion neutrons vs 0.025 thermal neutrons vs 2 MeV direct fission neutrons), could the fusion neutrons be used for burning transuranic wastes, or causing direct fission of U-238/Th-232? Well, if we had transuranics other than plutonium.

Well, if nobody's doing it in real life, there's probably a reason, although it's probably somethong to do with the relative abundance of enriched uranium from the cold war. I just don't see any physical issue. However, this isn't really a critical flaw in gameplay (unlike the reactor...

I'll admit that it makes little sense when you consider the abundance of pitchblende and the longevity of nuclear fuel, but for those of us obsessed with squeezing every last drop of power out of our resources, it's attractive.

Not really a fix, just a request to add a new recipe. [-][D][-] [D][P][D]-->(B) [-][D][-] Where D is depleted uranium, P is a plutonium pellet, and B is two breeder pellets. Sorry for the confusion.

Because of the rarity of U-235, I usually only get 1 enriched fuel pellet for every ~8 units of UF6 I centrifuge. This leaves me with 3 extra depleted uranium pellets per two pellets of plutonium I make. Over time, the depleted uranium piles up, and it's nearly useless at the moment, except...
