@Tepig4321 I am trying to stay away from magic mods apart from Ars Magica 2 as I don't emjoy them much

If I were you I would install forge into the vanilla launcher, only install the mod you want to focus on onto it and maybe NEI and Voxelmap then just go through everything you can do and apply the knowledge to whichever modpack you are using.

For me my one favourite mod would have to be Applied Energistics 2 as it adds a sensible and easy way to store items although Thermal Expansion and Twilight Forest were close behind.

I could but as I am planning to do a server with friends they need to download it with as little hassle as possible, so no adding or removing mods.

Thermal dynamics I am guessing adds onto thermal foundation?

Our school ones are rubbish aswell, 1.26GB of Ram and a 5-year old pentium processor. Most IT sessions at least someone has a blue screen.
