Reinstalling the pack from scratch fixed the Kawaii Frying Pan recipe and allows me to break gravel with hammer now. So whatever changed in the 1.17 makes it so that the pack should be completely re-installed, rather than updated to. Cause even starting a whole new world did not help, only...

I started a brand new world when updated to 1.17 to make sure there are no issues and not exploit anything that may have carried over from previous version. But still have these problems, no Kawai Pan recipe, cannot break Hardened Gravel with a hammer. I have deleted the entire BlastOff folder...

Did that, but wooden hammer still just destroys the block (unable to mine it). Spawned a stone hammer just for science, it also is unable to mine it. Just destroys the block of gravel.

Kawaiian Pan has no crafting recipe in my NEI. Upgraded to 1.17 and all these problems.

Ladies and gents, can anyone plz tell me what happened to the gravel? I can no longer hammer it with a wooden hammer to get gravel and stones. I can now only break it with pick or shovel, which still just gives me hardened gravel. Any help is much appreciated.

The problem with the FTB launcher not being able to download the update is one thing, what I said is I downloaded the update directly from the link that the mod author has provided on last page of this thread. And that launches only vanilla.

I followed the link thephoenixlodge provided for the 0.5.3 update to be downloaded manually, since the launcher can't install the update, but once I replaced my 0.5.1 minecraft folder with the one included in the zip - only launches vanilla now :( Shame that there seems to be no responses on any...
