    so the world was unrecoverable, but I was able to export our base, reseed the world, and pop the base back in it's original spot. It's not a perfect fix, but it works. thanks, unizero

    Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I don't have a backup. I'll give MCEdit a try -- I believe it can delete chunks.
