I agree with you starting over at those major changes in MC are typical especially with major releases like 1.6 to 1.7 and 1.7 to 1.8. I appreciate your input.

Yea I use them myself to create my own mod packs, but it would be great to back to FTB and have the ability to do this through things like the Curse Client.
