    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    You can't drink the water from standing pools. Any water in the world becomes salt water. Drinking it gives a dehydration debuff which makes your water go down faster. You have to use the clean water from bottles.

    [Public Pack] EPiCCRAFT 1.0.x {Progression}{Survival}

    I could be wrong about this, but I believe that using the mattock in that way uses 2 durability, instead of the usual one. Which could explain why it disappears when it breaks in this case. If I am thinking correctly on this, it's a known bug that they haven't been able to fix yet. Just make...

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    If you go the easy route you are given a Sync shell. With a clone on back up you don't have to worry so much about hardcore mode, and it is lore friendly. You can make a survivalist generator early on, which can slowly rebuild a clone for you if you die. Just make sure you don't die while your...

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    Man, adding in ruined, post-apocalyptic looking ruined cities to explore and scavenge just about makes this a perfect mod for me. Now if only we had a way to get the shuttle airborne again...

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    Well, once I get shears going I usually automate my water production with a crucible With a barrel and an item duct, both easy to get early on, it will just automatically feed and melt leaves. It costs 10 leaves vs 8 to make dirty water but by that point my time is more spent either hammering...

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    You will want to make wood barrels as soon as you can, which is pretty easy. They are the next thing I make after the tinker's construct tables. You can toss any organic kind of matter in there to compost into dirt. Saplings, leaves, zombie flesh, extra food supplies, string. Use the first...

    [Public Pack] EPiCCRAFT 1.0.x {Progression}{Survival}

    Bring ice blocks to the nether maybe? It isn't something that I've ever had to deal with before, so it is a bit of a learning curve. And I've not been close to going to the nether in this pack yet. I have at least found a good place to set up a home finally. In an ocean biome, on a decent sized...

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    Well, I was beat to it.. I started the new map a little bit last night. And I was wondering about the missing QDS as well. I figured it had just been left out of the starter chest when everything got moved around, so I cheated one in. Sure you can make it, especially given you start with two...

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    The quests don't say anymore you can turn dirty water into clean. Drinking Mud quests just says you can make dirty water with a dirt block and a bottle. You turn it in and get a clean water bottle. The slab furnace quest doesn't mention it either.

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    Iskandar probably should add something in the early quests to point out that any water you find or place on the ground becomes salt water. He did mention it several times in this thread, but not everyone is going to read all the thread before playing the mod pack. When you drink salt water you...

    [1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

    It is a good tip. I don't know why it would need to be nerfed though. It's just one of the functions of the stone barrel. You still need a bit of infrastructure to get going. You at least need a cobble generator, crucible and bucket going. I tend to make a terrain smasher as quick as possible to...

    [Public Pack] EPiCCRAFT 1.0.x {Progression}{Survival}

    hmmm.. I'll give the stone torches a try. I never have that issue with Crash Landing since I rarely use torches. Plentiful glowstone and saw means they aren't needed. Thank you for the help.

    [Public Pack] EPiCCRAFT 1.0.x {Progression}{Survival}

    Torches increase heat that much? There was a furnace nearby, but I've hardly used it so far. Just to cook some smooth stone to make a juicer and glass for bottles. I mean, I understand and like the basic concepts of heat management. I just don't understand why wherever I am the temperature goes...

    [Public Pack] EPiCCRAFT 1.0.x {Progression}{Survival}

    mmm. See that's the thing, I haven't been doing any mining or the like yet. Two days ago I got heat stroke at night, inside, fully hydrated while just standing at my crafting station sorting my inventory. It was over 102F ambient temperature. It seems whenever I find a place that seems nice to...

    [Public Pack] EPiCCRAFT 1.0.x {Progression}{Survival}

    I have a question about Environmine... I seem to be constantly overheating, no matter what I do or where I am. I've been through several worlds trying to find biomes that didn't give me heatstroke all the time. My latest world I settled in one of the dungeon towers in a deciduous forest biome...
