I will investigate this better later for a better response, but for now I'd go with high durability and look for something with high draw speed. Then for the bolts we are currently all arguing whether speed or heavy is better, once I have done proper experiments on this an research I'll let you...

First off- triple post, just saying. More to the point arrow speed only effects how fast an arrow flies, if I'm reading this right, this whole argument is somewhat confusing, you seem to believe that the faster your arrow is the faster your RoF is? If that's the case you're completely wrong...

Typically I use High damage arrows, accuracy is less important. You only need a small amount of accuracy, which i typically use slime fetching, not sure its the best though. So unless you're trying to go all robin hood go high damage, with a bit of accuracy mixed in. EDIT: Forgot to mention...

and frankly, who needs a tree farm? with the endoflames they just need something to burn, if you just feed it coal or charcoal when you need it, that's all the early game mana you'll need, unless you're playing infinity hard mode.

not necessarily, it depends on what materials you use. You can have a complete junk bow anyway. The trick though is to have a high speed bow + high damage. If you can find a combo like that you are pretty much invincible, considering that most mobs won't be even able to hit you b4 you kill them

its pretty obvious, draw speed is very important to me. The faster the draw speed is the more shots you can get in, possibly more than those with lots of damage yet long draw speed. I hope that made sense.

whats wrong with endoflames? I've been using 3 of them, with an auto setup, and after AFKing for a bit it can supply all my early game needs for botania. If nothing else there's always the day bloom-nightbloom hybrids that don't despawn as far as i can tell

I have a hard time believing that whatever is through the portal is more than you can handle, that is the most overpowered tools in the game(besides draconic stuff) i've ever seen

This is a cool build- I loovvveee redstone, one of the things that annoys me about Modded MC, it makes redstone too easy. Though I don't think that this is running at peak efficiency, it could run a lot faster. If you like I'll look into it when I get the chance, or maybe you enjoy your build...
