    It is intended to be a pretty short range, only cabaple of reaching you base. But if you wish there's options for it in the config under #me EDIT: i don't know if huge ranges can cause any kind of wierdness ie lag or random unstability, never known of any1 boosting it by more than 64 blocks or so.

    But what if i want multiple types of items in a chest? like both wood and saplings? I guess it would just pull whatever is the first item in the chest? Otherwise we would use barrels, but that would be extensive! The barrels could be used for mass storage though, so you had a backroom with a ton...

    Performance in FTB depends on more than just cpu and gpu, software setup and background programs all have a huge impact on performance, the laptop you're suggesting is light for ftb, but it should work with some of the lighter packs like tech world 2 or ftb lite

    that is a harvester, not a planter :) This will harvest fully grown trees and other plants like wheat etc. it won't plant saplings

    can you post a screenshot of the planters gui? EDIT: The idle bar moving is a sign that the planter is properly powered
