[1.7.10] The Dark Trilogy [PUBLIC BETA]

Not really, if you read back a bit in this topic I think someone got it working. But I don't think there is any hope for official updates. Well I guess you could poke Gideon real hard. He mentioned at some point he had updated all the mods and was working on configs for the next version (which...

Yup, I doubt there'll be any updates. Would've been nice if Gideon actually mentioned this at some point. Anyway, it seems like Infinity hard mode is the spiritual successor to this pack, and it honestly looks like much more care went into that one.

Ah I see the problem. It would indeed seem to be a mistake.

That does not seem right. If you go the dust route, you could probably double it. Are you sure the ingot takes a full bucket? I think normally an ingot is 144mb...

[1.7.10] The Dark Trilogy [PUBLIC BETA]

I'm afraid Gideon forgot about this pack... Last thing I remember he had updated mods and was working on configs. Playing with Forge versions will probably not help you, as other mods may break as a result. I think I remember a working Forestry version being posted on their bugtracker, but I'm...

I would say Tinkers'. It's not very expensive to make and it allows you to make large batches of steel relatively quickly, if you have the required materials. Railcraft's method is cheaper but incredibly slow. I kind of stuck with Tinkers' so I never really checked if there are methods later in...

Nah, you build them the regular way. The buildcraft assembly table is just missing from NEI.

Since this topic seems rather dead, how about a bit of an update on what's going to be new in terms of config changes?

[1.7.10] The Dark Trilogy [PUBLIC BETA]

@Bean Wack, it is a known problem with the Forestry machines. It was already fixed in Forestry itself a while ago, but not yet updated in the pack. Why NEI crashes with the updated Forestry I don't know. Possibly another mod is breaking. The most likely candidate would be NEIIntegration. You...

[1.7.10] The Dark Trilogy [PUBLIC BETA]

So THAT's what's been happening to my water mana farm. Thanks for sharing this. And @Gideonseymour, just a tip: expectation management :) Do not give ETA's or say it's almost done. This raises expectations and you never know what will come up and block progress, so you're sure to disappoint...

Depends on what type of chest unfortunately. For most chests you can do this with shift-doubleclick I think (top of my head), but I noticed that skystone chests do not follow the same behavior. It's part of inventory tweaks, which is a client side mod.

Sorry, I think I phrased that wrong. I meant you can add that mod to your list of broken mods. But I checked and it's not Sanguimancy, it's Blood Arsenal. The thing that's broken is the Sigil of Swimming.

[1.7.10] The Dark Trilogy [PUBLIC BETA]

It's a known bug. I don't even have to look this one up, because everytime I start my single player world, the update checker mentions an update for MFR that fixes this :) Crhymez: You can add a Blood Magic addon (I think it was Sanguimancy?). At least the mod that adds the sigil of swimming.

[1.7.10] The Dark Trilogy [PUBLIC BETA]

There's a bunch, but I think you'll only find them in the tech-part of the trilogy. An example of changed recipes is the basic machine building blocks. You need steel for TE and EIO, and you need a bunch of EIO alloys to make MFR plastic sheets. Gears are not made using ingots but using IC2...

[1.7.10] The Dark Trilogy [PUBLIC BETA]

If we're going to mention mods we'd like to see, I'd go for Pneumaticraft, but only after the upcoming update (which removes those terrible plastic plants and replaces them by a system based on Buildcraft-compatible oil). Drones are useful and fun, and the Aerial Interface is also worth playing...
