pretty sure you can export the melons into a pulverizer and it will break it into melon slices and seeds and from there ae can autocraft to seeds for oil.

understanding how slimes work in vanilla where they can still spawn in higher light levels try lighting up a large area in and around the swamp then at night do multiple pass overs and if still nothing, im not sure what would alter vanilla spawn code.. but worst comes to worst go to the nether...

if thermal expansion is present id take jacks idea with the level emiters only use a cyclic assembler and import the cobble, that way me isnt doing the crafting for when you want to autocraft other things..

the reason AE does not work is because when you que into craft an item it assigns that task to a specific machine, at random iv tried to get it to distribute it does not. a cyclic assembler wont help me because the issue lies in feeding the generator + 4 carbon fibers to a single machine then...

the issue isnt splitting it 50/50 its the two parts the generator, and the 4 fibers to each machine. so i dont think buildcraft would be viable in turms of splitting them with 5 parts to 1 machine, altho i could be wrong ill give it a whirl, and oh im figuring into the 500-600ish range of them...

so im not sure if im completely understanding what your trying to do or not but they cannot directly interact with a diamond pipe but no one seems to have mentioned using an obsidian pipe for the turtle to drop the items onto to enter the pipe system then be sorted via diamond pipe in some way...

i wouldnt call it a bug, its all in the math, just because it says a coolant value of 10 vs water 1 doesnt mean its 9X times better, if there is a decrease in effective cooling.. or somthing along that lines someone would have to go and look into the coding to review how the mod dev handels...
