modpack: FTB Interactions v1.9.1 Why was the choice made to NOT utilize "Crystalized Menril Chunks" for making Menril Resin in this modpack? Instead, it was decided to create a new item using ContentTweaker called "Menril Crystal". This item is created by running Menril Logs thru a Gregtech...

Modpack: FTB Interactions Item: Healing Fragment (from Animus mod) Note: This item has a rather unique feature - it cannot be moved once it is in your inventory. I was raiding a dungeon and broke two chests that contained these fragments, and they didn't stack, so I've lost two inventory slots...

When I examine the install location for the FTB Launcher, I navigate to the "instances" folder, and I see these two folders: 9f0bb311-0e85-42eb-9654-d1ca2ed4055e 31dca0c2-9686-40ba-9dcf-30c75578f4a3 By examining the files in those two folders, I can see the first one is FTB Omnia, and the...

I updated to v1.9.2 of FTB Interactions via the new FTB Launcher, and the main title screen was really goofy - it was blinking like an epileptic seizure, and the graphics were the "image not found" graphics with the pink and black squares. Very strange indeed. Also, in the launcher itself, my...

FTB Update. (New launcher + FTB Omnia released.)

So sorry for posting the incorrect information, guys. I am using the latest version of MultiMC but I totally missed that it now works with v1.15.2 modpacks. The older I get, the less I want to deal with any of this crap. LOL I have become my parents, who could never program their VCR to tape...

FTB Update. (New launcher + FTB Omnia released.)

I left it as-is, and the 4 gigs worked just fine for me. I have 32 gigs of RAM and so I usually allocate 12 gigs to Minecraft (LOL yes I'm serious), however, I forgot to change the RAM setting from default and it worked just fine. Today, because I remembered about RAM, I did try to change the...

FTB Update. (New launcher + FTB Omnia released.)

Unless it has changed recently - and I don't think it has - MultiMC does not work with the newest modpacks. Due to a change in the way Forge mod works, only modpacks based on Minecraft version 1.12.2 and below work in MultiMC. The new Omnia modpack from FTB is based on Minecraft version 1.15.2...

FTB Update. (New launcher + FTB Omnia released.)

I downloaded and installed the FTB Launcher today... and it didn't place a shortcut link on my desktop like almost all install programs do. It did create an entry in the Windows Start Menu, a folder called FTBApp, with one entry in that folder to the FTBApp program. However, I never use the...

FTB Update. (New launcher + FTB Omnia released.)

Yes, I noticed this too... I was crouching (sneaking) on a ledge above some lava while I dug above my head... and promptly fell off the ledge and into the lava and died. Thanks guys, for changing stuff that never should be changed. :) On the bright side of this unfortunately death? Well, I...

FTB Update. (New launcher + FTB Omnia released.)

Omnia doesn't work for me, it crashes as it loads. Its probably my computer since nobody else has reported it. Oh well. Thanks for the efforts. P.S. I was able to load vanilla 1.15 and enter a new world, so at least that much is working.

Depends on the modpack. For most modpacks, your answer is correct - Tinker's Construct tools are not enchantable in a vanilla enchantment table. However, I am currently playing Project Ozone 3 modpack, and (believe it or not), in that modpack, you can actually enchant Tinker's Construct tools...

On the 31st October 2019, the partnership between FTB and Twitch will be ending

Slowpoke101 streams on Twitch, lately he's been playing some game called "Satisfactory" which is in early access on Steam. I did watch his stream for a short while about a week ago, he was playing Minecraft vanilla 1.15 but I didn't disrupt him by asking what's up with FTB these days. Given...

At this point (much like our world at large), it's high comedy. So I'll throw out a question, for the laughs... Q: The first sign of the beginning of the end for FTB should have been...

EDIT to add: These are my opinions obviously. Your opinion may be different. I have no connection to anyone in the modded minecraft world. I've always said v1.7.10 modpacks would be the high water mark for modded minecraft. It remains my opinion today. V1.7.10 days was when FTB was at its...

to this outsider it sure would make sense for FTB and MultiMC to combine forces, since MultiMC already acts as a full-fledged launcher for all the FTB modpacks. And since both parties seem to be stumped by Forge for v1.14.4, perhaps they can figure out a way to tackle the problem together...
