From what I can make of your scenario, all you need to do is hit escape, select Open to LAN, turn cheats On and run the LAN server, from there you should be able to run any commands you would like as if you were Opped.

You do realize the FPS is only bad because you either don't have enough Memory allocated to FTB, or you just have a bad computer? and the fact that the connection is bad is most likely because of your own connection.

If anyone updated to the new Mindcrack, go back to 8.0.1 otherwise the server wont work for you :D
