This can be fixed by placing a slab on top of the hoppers. Items can fall through slabs and the chickens will have something to stand on.

Thanks again, I got it working already! Before you did say that, though, I actually went in ftb launcher and clicked "download server" and I'm using this server instead, is there a considerable difference from doing the forge installer?

Thanks to your input on multiplayer. While I'm not directly interested in changing configs/OP, the better performance and overall better controls are very attractive, I'm going to find a tutorial on server hosting and give it a try :)

I generally play SSP, that being said, I've heard many people saying that they have a server and play alone, is there any 'advantage' to having a server only for you versus simply playing in SSP?

Yep, Just confimed it, I thought that maybe the wrong direction would generate less energy (as if it tried to suck something), but no, it works the same regardless.

Do I have to wrench every redstone pipe? Or does it realize automatically that, since those are engines, they can only output?
