Tried to set up a Pulverizer, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

(Forgive me if I am not in the right spot for posting this.)

MFSU (powered by solar arrays) to a LV-Transformer, connected by Glass Fiber Cables to a Pulverizer and a powered furnace through Electric Generators. The generators will not power. What am I doing wrong?

Thermal Expansion doesn't use EU any more it uses its own tipe of power RF with the power creators from the mod. You can convert RF to EU but not the other way.
 
Okay, is there any way I can use some kind of RF power without using redstone? I.e like the way I have it now?
 
You cannot use the engines. Use steam dynamos to power the pulverizer and furnace, and feed the dynamoes water with an aqueous accumulator and fuel.
 
Electric engines make MJ and TE runs on RF. You can use an energy node and transfer pipes from extra utilities to convert the MJ to RF. Another option is using Engineer's toolbox. You can create an energy storage block. Set it up to store energy with a storage upgrade. You can put MJ, RF, or EU into and out of it. The block will store all the power as RF, but can output in any of the 3. Ender IO conduits also transfer RF or MJ. I am using them to feed RF to machines that take MJ. They may also convert MJ back to RF. I haven't tried since all my power production is currently RF.
 
else use power converters... there's little we can help you since TE used RF you can go straight to dynamos but not sure what good we can help you with that unless your using RC boilers
 
Organization:
TE3(1.6 TE) overhauled the entire system. Liquiducts ate called fluicucts, you have itemducts now(which are like smarter versions of the old RP Tubes) and other minor(and major) tweaks
The new power system is RF(Redstone Flux) while conduits(leadstone, hardened, etc.) can convert RF DIRECTLY to MJ(though not dynamos, and not MJ to RF) dynamos and machimes cannot input nor output mj.
Also the comversion rate for RF to MJ is 10 RF=1 MJ
 
Would really be nice with a new EU->RF engine/dynamo. I didn't personally use the old electrical engines that much, but know a lot of people that did.
 
Also a little comment on your design, you can put the machines right next to eachother. The sides can take output or put input into a machine sided correctly( so if you want you can have a pulverizer output into a redstone furnace without the pipe.)

If your not using Mekanism then your losing that capability as Mekanism has generators that output pretty much every known non abstract power networks else use MFR's bio generator which actually does that EU-RF

I generally don't like mods that try and simplify all the different power networks into one. I like to keep them separate. It adds to the complexity and forces me to build with more varied means. I cant just set up 1000 boilers and run a "cable of magically conversion" to all my different machines.
But in the case of the Electrical engine it was just so well balanced that I didn't mind. Each engine only output a small amount by default and if you upgraded it the rate of conversion became horrible. But it was nice to have early on to power your first MJ machines if you had gone the IC2 route. And you could just stick down a single engine and a solar panel for remote low power low maintenance needs.

I just think that when coming from IC2 people just want some simple maintenance free source of MJ to start out with. If you back in 1.4.7-1.5.2 started out by going the IC2 route, build a decent sized network, and then initially all you needed was to power a pulverizer+induction smelter to make that Obsidian+lead glass a few times, then the Electrical engine was quite decent. Its not efficient, its not cheap, but it requires next to no infrastructure compared to BC/Forestry/TE alternative.

I remember powering one of the old Forestry tree farms by a single electric engine back in 1.4.7. One low voltage solar array, couple batboxes and one engine and it ran all day without the need to run any expensive conduits all the way outthere.

But in this situation I must admit I dont understand why a Macerator+Electrical furnace(or Induction furnace) wasnt just used instead.

people probably say it's an easy way to start out, as it doesn't require much automation

MFR's lava fabricator. EU, MJ and RF can all power it and each power type has a generator using lava. Its not exactly a direct dynamo though :p
 
First off, cause no one mentioned it, Is this 1.4.7? Cause that looks a lot like a 1.4.7 Hopper on top of that machine.

Second, doesn't the Electrical Engine need a redstone signal?

I am actually starting to doubt myself. A MFSU and Fibre cable just to power 2 Electric engines? That's an enormous investment in 1.6! We are talking stacks of diamonds etc.
Not to mention that I have never seen anyone but myself craft the Chute specifically instead of the Hopper(I prefer the looks with Soartex :P).

I think we are indeed talking about a 1.4.7 (or 1.5.2) world here and the setup is not working because the MFSUs output side is not facing the transformer(You can see the gold dot showing on the screenshot :p).
