Mod Pack: Direwolf20 1.6
Version: 1.6.4. windows 7

Bug: after around 30 seconds game starts stalling then crashes soon afterwards
Known fix: i dont know that is why i am posting

this happens every time i launch the game

i also have 4.25 gigs of ram and i am using java 7
i even run as admin
PS: god i want to fix this =(

I didnt realise this was a server error. This is a definate problem with NEI, i recommend first trying the reinstall on the server, and if that doesnt work then let me know

Easy fix, this is a hosting problem. I would recommend that you check with your host about the perm size and make sure they are not running their own start up script.
Message them asking if you can increase or remove the limit on the PermGen space. Also explain you're using FTB

Honestly, i dont even have a clue about this. What have you tried so far?

I've been through it a number of times and dont understand why its happening, ive also searched the depths of Google and can only find 1 person with a similar error, but their fix wouldnt work in this case.

Bug: After the new Update of I can't play my game b/c the double mods
Known fix: None
Other: I have deleted the whole files and redownloaded it on 1.0.0 and even on 1.0.2

Delete your 'ftblauncher' folder.
Windows: C:\Users\<username>\Appdata\Roaming\ftblauncher
Mac: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support

Bug: Whenever I try to create a new world, the modpack crashes. I have even tried to put a previously made world into the saves and launching it, but it still crashes
Known fix:None
Can it be repeated?: Yes, I have done it upwards of 10 times

I was not playing multiplayer just singleplayer and i still got the crash any fix?

also i forgot to mention i started getting this after a update

as the last line in console.(Check crash log for more)
Repeated? : Yes, this happens every time. (Doesn't happen to any of my friends)I have tried re-installing and deleting the mod-pack folder and the launcher data in app data

Update Java, and delete your config folder (let it redownload)

Update: There is a LOT of errors (even if your game doesnt crash) happening with Opis and Inventory Tweaks. I recommend removing both to reduce lag a lot. If you hate not having a minimap, here is an even better minimap for you to use. Just drop this in your mods folder.

Note: Servers do NOT need the mini map installed for it to work. It is entirely client side (Hooray!)

The way that I've found to "fix" it, albeit, temporarily - Open your mods folder before launching the FTB launcher. Start the launcher, and as soon as the files "appear", delete the older versions. You have to time it just right so that you are able to delete them before the Mojang screen appears. The files to delete are: TConstruct_1.6.4_1.5.1.jar and ThaumicTinkerer 2.0-38.jar.




This issue makes me wish Windows 7 had a record option like Windows 3.1 did... I'd upload a macro somewhere then to "show" the user how it's done.

Well, I did that but that still didn't quite solve the problem. I'm still getting the error, and crashing after a while. I've already gone through the troubleshooting process just to get Direwolf to run, is there any other way to solve this?

Figure out what else on your computer might be blocking OpenAL

Ok i tested around with adding and subtracting all the nei mods and plugins to it and it seems that when i disabled nei plugins as well as nei addons i have no crashes so far so it must be a bug with one of these mods. Thanx for the help.

edit: i also reenabled the opis and inv tweaks and doesn't seam to crash anymore
edit2: after like 10 mins i got the same crash once i enabled those mods so imma disable inv tweaks and test that.
edit3: This combination seamed to work fine for 20 mins then another crash so if anyone has the same problem use the combination of

Neiaddons, neiplugins, inventorytweaks AND Opis disabled and it should work fine
edit 4: i still crash sometimes even when i have turned off nei (o) when i frequently use any types of inventories. i give up i just need to wait for an update
