I just found a way to get a ton of free solar panels (and some other type of blocks).

All you have to do is mine them with an advanced diamond drill and you will sometimes get an extra one.

I just made a ton of hybrid solar panels this way.
 
Hang on, don't hybrid panels revert to machine blocks when drilled?

Seems rather more like a troll post to me.
 
Ok. Being on MindCrack myself, I decided to give it a go: Gave myself 64 hybrid solars, pillared them up (jump, shift+click, jump, shift+click, etc...), used my advanced diamond drill to harvest the lot. Got 64 back.

Pack version 8.2.0. Minecraft version 1.4.7. I assume you're on something different.

Wrong.
The author of advanced solar panels made then so that they can be broken by wrench but not require it. Now i'm just waiting for greg to do a sneaky update which affects them to be like his machines... bar maybe the rain=base gone thing.

Try a couple more times.[DOUBLEPOST=1369839028][/DOUBLEPOST]Hmm... Seems to only work with my silk touch ADD.
 
Considering that the mere act of enchanting electric tools is in itself a bug, any weird interaction between enchanted drills and mined objects is automatically a bug as well ;)

It is? Then why would anyone use a diamond drill if you cannot enchant it? A diamond pick would be be superior in pretty much every way in that case.
 
Translation: Hey I've found something that's totally overpowered and makes no sense, but I'm sure it's intended and not a bug, you guys!
