First off my main issue. Whenever I tried downloading a resource pack I accidentally deleted "pack.mcmeta" for the default resource pack and I was wondering where I could download it and where to place after the download the second issue I will discuss after my first one is resolved.

I would think your best recourse is to just download the pack again. But, most packs like infinity and dw20 and other don't come with a resource pack so as a result the resourcepacks folder is empty and doesn't contain the pack.mcmeta file. So what mod pack are you using?

I meant the default minecraft resource pack, the one I'm missing the pack.mcmeta file for. And I'm not using a modpack, I'm using commands.

So I'm a little confused. With modded minecraft all of resource pack files goes into the resource packs folder. If you aren't playing with a pack then what are using vanilla?

In the screenshot it says the default resource pack is missing pack.mcmeta and I was wondering where to download it and place it afterwards.

And yes I'm using vanilla but the commands go with the resource packs.

I'm doing some searching. But you have me stumped. The default resource pack for vanilla is part of the version jar file. But that file doesn't exist in the jar file. Sounds like your best bet is to re-download the version. C:\Users\henry\appdata\Roaming\.minecraft\versions is the location on my machine for vanilla on my machine. Maybe tray renaming the 1.10.2 folder and relaunch to see if it will re-download vanilla.

EDIT: I did verify you can delete or rename the 1.10.2 folder and it will re-download it from Mojang's servers.

Is it possible to re-download the default resource pack? And if so, where does it go?

EDIT FOR YOUR EDIT: So that actually gives the resource pack back again?

It should since the default resource pack is part of the minecraft jar file. The default pack doesn't go in the resourcepacks directory like the add on packs do.

Thanks so much, now the second issue is Skyfactory 2.5, I'm using FTB launcher to launch it (the latest ver.) and whenever I launch it, it says "[main/ERROR]: Unable to launch" Followed by:

I searched through this wondering what I needed, or what was wrong, and I don't know either.

Sorry it's taking so long the mods are approving the linked reply :T.

Nevermind. I think I figured out what my issue was. It says it couldn't find this fml tweaker thing, which is the Forge Mod Loader, and to my knowledge, I don't have that so I think that's why I can't run Skyfactory 2.5.

EDIT: Didn't fix it... that really bites.

Also the strange thing is FTB Ultimate works even though SkyFactory 2.5 doesn't.
