This probably isn't the right place for this. I don't know where the "right place" is or if it even exists. I'm sure one of you will tell me. This post is also in the server promotion subforum.
To the mods, feel free to move, lock, delete this post if I did it wrong.

I'm looking for a smallish, tight knit community server for Unleashed 1.1.3 or Direwolf20 for 1.5

About me
  • I'm 24 years old and a female. I have a fiance, also female, who I intend to marry this December.
  • I'm about to have a lot of time on my hands, after taking a much needed vacation from work that should last up to a year. Before you ask, I don't want to share what I do for a living and I don't want to discuss how I'm capable of taking such a long leave for vacation. I can afford it. Leave it at that.
  • I'm quite experienced with modpacks. I've been playing them since YogBox and Technic Pack, followed them ever since. I'm still learning some of the newer stuff like Tinker's Construct, Applied Energistics and such but I'm a quick learner.
  • I've played Minecraft itself since the Nether update. Never been to a Minecon though. been far too busy.
  • As for my IGN, I'd prefer to keep that out of public eye for my own reasons. I'll PM you it once I've chosen a server suggestion.
  • My favorite mods are the Thaumcraft series and Tinker's Construct.
About what I'm looking for
  • I don't care what mods you choose to keep or don't keep within reason, I have only one requirement. I will not play on a server with GregTech. This is personal preference. This is not open for negotiation or discussion. I will ignore replies about Gregtech. Everything else is fine.
  • Any gamerule settings are fine though I would prefer at least one of the other of mobGriefing or keepInventory.
  • SOME banned items are okay, so long as it's not too restrictive. I reserve the right to deny your server based on what items I cannot use.
  • As I said, I'd like a small, mature server. Let me define mature. It's not a word that should be thrown on the title of everyone's server. A mature server should be friendly, helpful, social and well humored with an age group of about 18-20+. I don't care if younger people are mature. The majority isn't.
  • Griefing/Stealing/Raiding/PvP encouraging is a no-no.
That's it. I look forward to seeing some servers~.

There's actually not a really good area in server promo for this post. As it stands this would be the "best" place to put it but that needs to be remedied.

Also any particular reason for it being specifically 1.1.3? 1.1.6 is quite stable as well.

I agree with Hoff we really need a 'Looking for Server/Player' sort of sub forum for these sorts of post. Basicly the revrse of the Server promo forum. Becuase while there is not a lot of these posts there is at least one every month or so with eiher someone looking for a server or for a player for some reason or another.

While most can just be pointed to the server forums to find there own I know sometimes none of those posted fit the needs for the person looking. So yeah we do need a place for this sort of thing.

Most servers I see use 1.1.3. I figured it best just to go with that. I'm open to using another version if one uses it.

Also, a Looking for Server subforum would be fantastic.

There are changelogs I believe. Also, I'm not sure if I told you or not but my server should be up tomorrow evening.

I getcha. I've downloaded 1.1.6. I'll give it a glance tomorrow but really I can't play much minecraft at all until I get a better tower which hopefully should be soon.
