Here are the missing values:
TC3 Infused stone, Cinnabar Ore - 200
xycraft Aluminum - 220
Xycraft ores - 220
Xycraft Quartz Crystal - 221
Traincraft? Crude Oil- 246
Traincraft Oil sand - 247
Modular Forcefield Mozanit - 688

Pack config should be updated, but I heard the the miner uses client side values, so you can update locally and get more ores.

Updated valuable ores line for IC2.cfg file:
S:valuableOres=14:3, 15:4, 16:1, 21:3, 56:5, 73:3, 129:5, 200:1, 220:1, 221:1, 246:1, 247:1 688:1

Anyone have any other missing ores or things the miner should collect?

Is soul crystal an ore? Soul Shards Soul Crystal - 1619?

I would highly recommend Infused Stone be left out of its targetting. Infused Stone is the closest Thaumcraft has for a battery for Aura, Aura is finite without a significant amount of effort put in, and even once you finally have the tool to make it renewable, it takes a little over eight such tools to be able to replenish one Infused Stone in an hour, if my math is correct. Collecting them as you go caving is fine as you'll need some for crafting, but telling a machine to have at it which will harvest every bit of it that it can detect? Sounds like a bad idea to me.

TC3 isn't what adds Quartz, btw.

Are the Thermal Expension ores included now? Since they seem to be on the 2001 range[DOUBLEPOST=1356431923][/DOUBLEPOST]

Shouldn't be too bad as long as people are smart and don't mine where they live- it's not like the quarries or turtles filter them out either.

Also, should extra bees rock hives be mineable? Because when my miner hits them it just stops and won't go any further down until I've destroyed the hive, retracted the pipe, and started the miner again.

Thermal expansion ores are automatically mined. Suspect they are a registered by the mod or pulled from the ore dictionary.

Hives seem to be treated like bedrock to most miners. Manually breaking them looks like the only option. You should not need to retract fully to reset. Lifting up and placing the drill back refreshes the machine once the obstruction is cleared.

I just added your configuration to the miner config and my miner still doesn't pick up certain ores.
My config reads: S:valuableOres=14:3, 15:4, 16:1, 21:3, 56:5, 73:3, 129:5, 200:1, 220:1, 221:1, 246:1, 247:1, 688:1

So far I've noticed it ignores xycorium, cinnabar, aluminum, and crude oil.

I've noticed that xycorium uses 220 for blue, 220:1 for green, etc. Maybe a separate entry needs to be made for each one?

My miners have been picking up all the ores.

I think you can put in sub ids, but the format above is block id : scanner value

The value has to be > 1 or the scanner will not send the mining head to go mine it. As long as your block ids are the same as mine (mindcrack FTB pack).

Make sure you restart minecraft between config changes.

Edit: Also the first few pack updates overwrote config files, so make sure if you update you go check the config file.

Iridium is automatically registered by gregtech.

Confirmed in test world miner will mine it even with the basic drill, which you cannot mine it with yourself.

btw, it looks like the list in the OP has been implemented into the Mindcrack pack. I've never edited the config, yet all those numbers mentioned in the OP are listed.

We already had the IC2 miner set up to mine those ores for our 1.4.2 and 1.4.5 test packs. But while updating the config from 1.4.5 to 1.4.6 we forgot to copy the settings. Sorry if this has caused some issues on your servers/your game experience.
