I have not seen much talk or hype about Magic World 2. So, I thought I would offer my suggestions and criticisms. I liked the idea of Magic World, but it lacked focus and really should have been named Tech-lite World. Recently I have been playing Hexxit, which has a heavy focus on exploration and conquest. I feel Magic World should have been closer to this play style. FTB can do a better job designing a pack in an exploration/conquest theme. Why? Simple, they have access to both Thaumcraft 4 and Ars Magica 2 and I have not seen many mod authors that will not grant them use of their mod. I hope that FTB will not only add their magic themed mods (Ars and Thaumcraft) but consider adding some adventure themed ones. Such as Battle Towers or other dungeon-type mods.
