Magic Farm FML Error

found a semi-helpful thread here

problem is, when i go to download the files manually these 2 links are broken.

http://files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/bcprov-jdk15on-148.jar

Not sure if you are aware of the problem, or if magic farm is not supported anymore, or what. just want to know whats up.

I get a 404 myself when I try to download them as well. If I go through the URL I find out that the file names have been changed for some reason. Look here for the name and remove the .stash when you finish downloading them.

Edit: Note these are Forge files not Magic Farm files and you would need them for other mod packs as well. Hopefully they download without any problems in other packs if you decide to use them.

Edit2: Recently some have trouble with following the link and renaming files. If you are one of them you can also download Unleashed and copying over the lib folder. This appears to be only a bug with third party packs.

Edit3: With new information from Eyamaz about the reason I can safely say that if the pack author updates the pack to include those files users of the pack will not experience these issues.

UPDATE JAVA....
* Not official support by FTB*
- Install FTB into "C:\FTB" not into your program files folder.
- FTB Held Desk will have you install it onto the desktop.

I apologize for this Booker, but Rocketboy ignore his suggestion. Though keeping Java updated is important it is not required to fix this error.

To fix this error you can do one of two things. Download the Unleashed pack and copy over the files in the lib folder of Unleashed to the MagicFarm lib folder. Copy from Unleashed\minecraft\lib to \MagicFarm\minecraft\lib

Or you can download these links, bcprov-jdk15on-148.jar.stash and scala-library.jar.stash You will need to remove the .stash from the end of the file and place them into the MagicFarm lib folder. If you do not understand how to remove file extensions the easiest way is to download the Unleashed pack mentioned earlier.

Hi

Just wanted to say I (well, my son) got exactly the same error with Voltz Server on Windows7 and I discovered that if you check the right click.properties of the launch.bat file, windows has applied some kind of default security block to it which prevents the process from talking to the internet. There's an "Unblock" button at the bottom of the dialog which I clicked and then all the errors about not being able to download those components for FML disappeared and everything worked.

No you don't. If you do, it's because you're not using the correct version of the mod pack. Jaded fixed the issue in the 1.5.2 mod pack with one of the last updates to it.
