I am having a big problem with HQM editing where in I have my quests, launch up MC, everything is good. I add more quests, save everything multiple times, then shut minecraft down. Then when I start it again the quests are gone, and the older quests are mostly gone, and what is not gone is all disconnected and weird. Anyone have any iea what is causing this?

First start-

Second Start-

I have already wasted so much time on this bug.... Please help.....XD

EDIT: I can get the quests to stay the same if I don't touch anything. AS soon as I add more quests or move one it breaks.

@Vswe Any idea what is going on?

Based off of the pics: it looks like one time, you're in edit mode and the other, you're not. Also, it seems to only be happening to locked quests. Do your logs have any info on errors that might be happening?
@LordDusk or @Scott Wears would probably be of some help here, then. If they don't reply soon, try paging GideonSeymour or BashfulGiant; both of them have considerable HQM experience.

My aplogies, the same thing is happening in either mode, those screenies are just from different play sessions. I should have clarified. Your right! I wonder if the locked thing has anything to do with it. Also all the quest line requirements dissolve. I could post a pic. I'll check the logs out.

@Bashful Giant @Gideonseymour Any idea what is going on? I can provide any thing else you would need.

Oh god, I had this problem when making quests. It was SO frustrating. Luckily I always made backups and you should as well, actually there is a backup file in the HQM config that you have to rename into the default quest file and delete the old one.
To the problem itself again, it seems to have only been doing it when I was rushing the quitting of Minecraft so you should try to save the quests (If it doesn't save something is wrong), go out of you world, go to the main menu and quit from there.

I didn't ever have any issue with this, but I never had to worry much for RR2, as I had it on Github, so I could revoke the commit that corrupted the quests if needed. Alternatively, as Yulife said, you could use the backup file, and make sure to quit the proper way.
There's a similar thing that happens with a lock.txt file, but I'm assuming you never made one?

(Also you should fix those MT Errors in the second image :p)

Do I have to do anything to get backups to save? I think I tried to exit that way every time, but I'll see if it helps.

I used the older saves off the FTB launcher to try to fix it, but no matter what save I use it does the exact same thing. I might try it on an an alternate computer. One intresting thing is tha tmy minecraft did this on a version, which I then installed on another home computer and it was fine. So.... The errors are being thrown by nulls :p Nope never made one of those...

Is there anyway to force the game to make a HQM quest backup? It still happens when I save, log out, and then press quit... :(

Seems like you are not even saving. Click the "Save" button and if it doesn't show "All files saved!" or something similar, you screwed up.

Nope, I know what I am doing and I am definitely saving. I'll make a video of it tonight. It says all files saved.
