First experiences with modpacks

I had the idea of a thread for people to talk about memorable first experiences with different modpacks. I will start with my Magic World 2 I atarted a few minutes ago:

CAN'T SEE SHIT!

>Wait...wha! I'm in a forest on top of a mountain thingy! (Highlands World Generation)
>Do some failing parkour down the mountain.
>Reach the bottom and see that MEADOW + MOUNTAIN!!!

Blood and bones experience for me:
> sees blood and bones
> clicks launch
> starts to launch and crashes before the client pops up

My first experience with Technic (the old old one - with Redpower and TC2 in it)

-Generate world
-Know what to do cause I watch Youtube vids
-Go into cave
-Mine for several hours
-Make nether portal and Philosopher's Stone
-Make trans table
-Explore for long time
-Find taint biome and explore taint biome
-Subsequently ambushed by a pack of corrupt sheep
-Rageqquit while screaming

My Magicfarm2 experience was that, but I lived in a magic forest biome right next to a great spoderwood tree

Sees new modpack- seems ok.

• Wait an hour for pack to download. (drink coffee, tinker in my BTW world)
• Wait an hour for pack to boot up (more coffee, look at a few mod wikis)
• Set GUI size to normal again. Set controls AGAIN!
• Start new world.
• Get horrendous eye bleeding as every mod adds its own HUD display.
• Close MC
• Remove all excessive mod HUD related stupidity.
• Tinker with config files to hide more of this useless information.
• Reboot, wait another hour (just another cup, break into another pack of choccy biscuits)
• Configure remaining in game options to remove more HUD clutter.
• Start playing.
• Minecraft crashes.

Sees new modpack-

-Wait time for download
-Wait time for boot
-Do all my settings
-Start a world
-FPS LAAAG
-Close MC
-Set java stuff.
-Start MC.
-Start world
-Play for 15 hours
-Did every progression of tech mods
-Play for another 15 hours
-Ragequit Thaumcraft.
-Ragequit Ars magica 2
-Play another 5 hours
-Ragequit All Magic mods exept Witchery and Blood magic
-Enjoy world for last 3 hours with 3x ore progression done in 0.05 seconds. With automatic ores coming in and all that jazz.
-Build final monument
-Put world in Rar with Date+Modpack+Config
-Put world in my Old worlds folder
-Sees the counter of Rars in that folder go from 52 to 53.

-Repeat per given modpack.

- start 1.6.4 world
- build mps
- upgrade with kinetic generator (powers you up while you run around)
- realize my forgetful nature may be able to power my base
- run several redstone furnaces off batteries charged by my derpy forgetfulness and bordom hopping
