it a bug with portalgun and mystcraft portals
1. make a new age
2.make a mystcraft portal in overworld to that age
3.pick up a block from mods with portalgun and trow it in portal
4.you will get crash OR that block will change id

like that on my server the wreting desk trans in a nuke :| and blow up my spawn

How to fix it ?
Disable from portalgun: grabblock=1, change to 0

Yes, disabling block grabbing as you described is the best workaround for the time being if you have users that don't respect the meaning of "don't do that".

Whether this is something for iChun from PortalGun for XCompWiz from Mystcraft to handle is fuzzy. Mystcraft does have a Mantis Bugtracker for bug reporting available at http://binarymage.com/mantisbt/login_page.php, if you'd like to let the Mystcraft group know.
