Hey! I thought it would be fun to make a survey and collect some info about how people get info on FTB, and how they play minecraft and FTB.
I made a Google form- and anyone who fills it out can also see all the responses- lots of fun data!

Interesting results. Seems a lot of people don't like Gregtech. This is pretty cool.

VERY SURPRISING. the percent of people who "prefer" a singleplayer experience is more than the percent who play singleplayer..

Hm, but when I looked at the results then, 15 people like it gregtech, and only 8 don't

This is interesting, but currently with only 30 people answering, this is a very small sample size.
Can't draw any valid conclusions until you get a higher sample size, but it is interesting nevertheless.

Seeing as I JUST release this like 30 min ago, I think it's doing well.

And it's funny how Brony mod pack is the only pack with 0 playing (so far)

I'm surprised Yogcraft has 1 or 2 people playing it, but I'm sure they just checked it because they were curious to see if it was good when it first came out.

I don't always play MineCraft, but when I do, I session it for weeks. Then I stop dead and don't touch it again for months - I'm currently on hiatus. Also, there didn't seem to be an option for not playing vanilla "at all" anymore.

I run a server on my home network, but only for myself - "true" FTB singleplayer is too much of a chore (waiting for machines to process stuff...), and thanks to 1.3 we get all the multiplayer bugs regardless. So that's still ticking along even as I type, even if I haven't made use of it for days.

An option to abstain from choosing "favourite" or "least favourite" mods would be nice. I don't know the full feature set of them all, and I don't think many responders would.

I'm surprised to see how many people apparently have never played vanilla (that is to say, without Redpower).

I run a laptop with max distance, fancy rendering, and no additional RAM allocated towards MineCraft. I don't remember being asked how much I allocated to MineCraft - either I mis-read the question, or it was asking how much I had total.

So long as the frame rate remains in the double digits it's good enough for me - I tried OptiFine once, but found it was detrimental on my rig. I'm also still somewhat ticked off that 1.3 nerfed the draw distance along with the chunk loading speed.

I fixed the Redpower question to say "Who has played FTB without Redpower". I also cleared up the RAM question, and I made Never an option for how often you play vanilla. Sorry for the bit of confusion.

The section on where you get your FTB info is slightly biased though, people coming from the forums will say forums, and then maybe something else, and people from the subreddit will say subreddit, and then maybe something else, so those two may be the highest just because of distribution.

Those results are piling up though. GT is coming through, and there is now at least one vote on the bronymodpack. I want to see it develop further.

Not that surprising if you check the questions again. Some players may prefer single player but still occasionally join a server.

I love how every single one of these surveys shows that more people like gregtech, and yet the haters always claim that the vast majority hates it, just read the very first comment in this thread and you can see that...
