I'm looking forward to Quartz being used in the mods. Although now certain things are more difficult to craft I liked that the Nether Star has been included. What I'm now curious about is how the Soul Shards mod will work with spawners in mine carts.

I will be starting a fresh world. I have been playing FTB with this in mind since the beta came out. I have just been playing around with different design ideas and checking how well some of the mods work together. So I wont be losing to much with a reset.

Mystcraft will let you generate new worlds. When there is an update to the pack that would add in new world gen items you can custom create a new world that can be accessed with Mystcraft books. Basically you can make a world specifically for minning newly added world gen stuff.

You also have Rei's Minimap and Rai's Minimap listed in the included list.

Portal Gun was in the modpack during an earlier beta version but was removed due to bugs. It is hopefully being fixed and will be in an update.

Its Great to hear the official release is right around the corner. I'll be looking forward to the launch party.
