    I made mine 512mb but It wasnt enough for my 1 world instance! I guess all the mods really increase the world file size. Sooo yes 1 gb should be fine but check first(Go to the instances folder, select .minecraft the right click properties and itll show the size there)

    There's a giant difference between 32x32 and 256x256. Mainly Aliasing.
