When viewing a recipe in NEI, if one of the ingredients is supported by Ore Dictionary, that ingredient will cycle through all the working blocks (e.g. the crafting table recipe cycles through all the types of planks)

Is there any way to disable this and to indicate that the recipe supports Ore Dictionary in another way? Like mousing over the items or something similar?

To stop the very annoying "cycling" of equivalent items in a recipe, just hold down the shift key to stop it temporarily. If the list of equivalents is long, you might have to wait a while for your preferred item tho, and then be quick on pressing the shift key. There may be other methods but that's the one I know about and use.

I got a Forestry butterfly inside my house, and I cannot kill it with a sword, nor can I catch it with a scoop. What a pain in the you-know-what, the thing is flying around like a maniac and I need to get rid of it. Will it despawn on its own? There are no trees but my house is made of Biomes O'Plenty redwood blocks. Will it despawn if I go far away for a while?

Nevermind, I stood on my doorway's pressure plates for a bit and the darn thing flew right out... thank goodness.

You could catch it, I believe forestry has butterfly nets/jars (or something like that)

Catching it with a scoop or a sword is a bit tricky sometimes. It's easiest if you wait until it sits down and doesn't move.

if i put two identical upgrades on a thaumcraft tallow golem(like the speed upgrade) does the effect stacks? i mean it goes faster than with a single upgrade?

I would guess so. Else it would be pointless to allow applying the same upgrade twice.

Another Forestry question... I just made my Chestnut trees for seed oil production... we all know trees need light to grow, but will the "fruit" (the chestnuts) grow (mature) at night without any light on them? Should I keep the trees lighted, or can I remove the lights now that I've grown the trees? I'm using the Forestry Multifarm in Manual Mode (Orchard) so the trees never get cut down once they're fully grown. The Multifarm merely harvests the chestnuts as they reach full maturity. It would seem to me I don't need to light the area anymore, but it never hurts to ask.

Edit: I'll probably answer my own question. I built two max-sized Multifarms because one is never enough for chestnut production (they're pretty slow). So what I did was remove the torches from one farm, but left them at the other farm. I'll compare the two farms in a few hours and see if the fruits are maturing equally or not.

I can't see any ligjt level checks in the code so I guess it doesn't matter.
But go ahead and test if you want :)

I envy those of you who can decompile and read code. Thanks for checking for me!

Another question: Is there a bee that can provide Iridium? There's no such bee listed in Infinity modpack, but they might not call it "Iridium Princess" so I still can't be certain. However, there's no "Iridium Comb" either. That's not a good sign.

Related question: I've quarried about 1000 chunks and my AE2 inventory shows a grand total of 2 (TWO) Iridiums... that is ridiculous. It's not "rare", it's pretty much nonexistent. Are we supposed to work thru the entire IC2 tree and get to UU Matter in order to get Iridium in any sort of quantity? By that point, I won't even care about Solar Panels. sigh

I think NEI shows centrifuge recipes and which bees produce what. So if there's some bee producing it you might find it by looking up recipes for it.
Else, there's alwas UU matter for creating iridium.
