Ok kids! (and kids at heart!)

I'm hoping to make a 1.6.4 modpack for the FTB team with the vision of:
  • Creative builds
  • Survival-mode, creative servers
  • Easy-mode

But to do this, I need to know what the community thinks.

Yes, I know people already think Unleashed is too easy, but that's not the point.

I plan to take all of my favorite mods and add them. I also want to add as many as I can as suggested by the community.

So, I want to know, what are your favorite "OP" mods?
Favorite config set up for "normal" mods?

Here's the current list I have, and plan to work with. It includes mods that are already included in FTB packs (thus permission to use in official packs) as well as mods that give permission for modpack use (as per their MCF post or website).

How can you ask for OP mods and not have Dartcraft on your list?

As for mods to suggest here is a few:

Favorite part about it: Hard to say, I really like this mod. I guess if I had to pick it would be the ability to have liquid, power and redstone piping all in one block and being able to hide them really easy with the mods own conduit facades.

I was going to suggest one more but it's not updated to 1.6.4 as of yet :(.

Oh, as for configs, I don't really change many configs.

Favorite part about it: It removes the annoying repairing cap in the anvil. It also adds some additional configuration options for the anvil.

Mod Name: Craftable Horse Armor

Favorite part about it: Minecraft 1.6 adds horses, what would be the point of horses if you can't use them as you want? So this mod adds craftable horse armor, saddles, name tags and easier crafting of a lead. You can also choose the hardcore version for harder recipes.

Favorite part about it: If there's 1 thing I hate about dying in Minecraft, it's losing my items. This mod places a gravestone when you die, containing your inventory from when you died. It also gives some really nice aesthetic options, like choosing your own gravestone model.

Not going to lie. This thread seems to be asking for controversy.


While this may happen, nothing will stop it from occurring. I would prefer to ask the community for input now, than deal with "why didn't you add 'x' mod" later.

Since this is intended to be an official pack, Redstone in Motion will not be included.

if you need to have to use a frame-type of mod, I would go with calclavia's MFFS, as it's not a pure rip-off from redpower, and it actually looks pretty damn cool

For frames, I will hold out for a release of RedPower 2, for now. I have not yet used any other frame-mods, nor have I tested with any. If I'm able to, I will check that one out.
