Problem updating server, [severe] world leak, bukkit plugins stopped working?

So the client (mindcrack) had to update just a moment ago, downloaded it, and then of course needed to update my server. Downloaded mindcrack again, updated. After a bit of tinkering i got it to start up again. I'm getting a few warnings, and the only problem i notice so far is my Bukkit plugins no longer load. They're in the server folder just as before but in-game i cannot use any of them; getting "unknown command".

I'm having the exact same error on the direwolf20 modpack after doing a clean update. I don't have time now, but I might go through the mods tomorrow and see if I can figure out which one is causing it.

I'm also getting a persisting error from client side, when logging in that im missing all the FTB mods (even after i rolled back my client)...

I was updating my own private pack and I only updated these so far:
Forge
IC2 Nuclear Control
Industrial Craft 2
Railcraft
Thaumcraft
Buildcraft
ExtraBiomes XL
GregTech
Plus some other custom mods

And now I'm getting it the memory leak like you guys are.
I tried taking them out one by one but I couldn't find which mod.
I'm assuming it could be forge? Not sure.

I'm not too sure about the memory leak issue, but if bukkit plugins aren't loading anymore, its because you haven't reinstalled bukkitforge. If you want bukkit plugins to be able to run, you'll have to install it.

but still the same problem.

I'm having similar world leak problems. (no bukkit)
Using complete Direwolf20 pack.
I've also found that placing a Chunk Loader from ChickenChunks (only in the twilight forest[world 7], which I had previously loaded with a loader prior to the update, so far) causes a client crash and what appears to be partial deletion of a chunk. The chunk is actually deleted and re-generated, it seems.

It appears like this; strangely, nothing except what is above ground seems to be touched.

Not sure if that problem could be related or contribute, but I thought it might.

*EDIT*: Tried with the chunk loader again; seems to be working, now. I had removed all chunk loaders prior.
I am also still getting memory leaks, so this may be unrelated after all.

Chiming in with a similar problem. Running Direwolf 5.1.1 with a world generated a couple days ago, in 5.0.1.

While I've noticed no severe problems yet, the error message seems to coincide with me getting a somewhat choppy framerate, even though the world was running well earlier.

if it is caused by a mod, the error should be fixed.
if it is a problem with the jar, maybe it is possible to replace it with the old one? (Thermal Expansion needs a new Core Mod if i have read correctly, so i think TE needs to get rollbacked if you change the jar)

hello, im curious i've been googling alot and i was wondering how i would do to upgrade my server to a newer version? is it just to drag the new server files (from the zip) into the serverfiles and its supposed to work or how do i do it?:S (tried that and it crashed)

maybe some files are in there twice, as i have seen railcraft moved from jar to zip.
if i want to update my server, i delete everything except the world and config folder, then i drop the new server files.
but i think this one here is not the right topic ;)

edit:
started my server with an empty mods folder and a new map - problem is gone.
as soon as im at home i try to start a new map with all mods, if the problem is still there i try to locate the problematic mod.
*still hope for a fast fix*

The "world leaking" happens when a dimension unloads.

You could add a spotloader in each dimension to keep that from happening.

No idea what the consequences are. I just wanted to mention how to avoid it.

Nallar posts in another thread:
I'm not sure this is fully ChickenChunks' fault.

In vanilla, worlds are not unloaded until after at least one chunk is unloaded - so a player has to enter and leave. ChickenChunks unloads worlds without requiring that to happen - so by allowing worlds to unload, a world is leaked. Normally world unloading would be a good thing, but if some mods are holding onto a reference to the world you could eventually run out of memory if this happens regularly.

If you want the answer to this, you'll need to experiment removing mods until it stops showing the warning. Don't remove it one mod at a time then put it back in, it's likely more than one mod leaks worlds.

this is thaumacraft, i think we can fix it by regenerating thaumacraft world "may cause lag"

I've been doing exactly this, it still happens with nothing more than NEI and Forge, I'm pretty sure it's a problem with loading and unloading worlds in general, rather than a problem with any specific mods, other mods might contribute, but seems as it happens even where no mods are doing anything, I think it's a deeper issue than mods misbehaving.
