So I know that in creating the FTB mod pack there are a lot of mods that just can't be added to the pack (Like timber). Mods like these are not accepted by everyone and remove some or all of the reason for having other mods. However I have something I would like to see added to the FTB launcher.
Basically I would like to see a "create new mod pack" button on the mod packs screen, this button (when pressed) would open a screen with a simple interface that has a list of all the mods that ftb has been approved to used. you would then be able to click a mod and then select add and it would be added to the added mods column. After you have selected which mods you want it would ask you for a name for the pack and then would move on to install them and then launch Minecraft with your custom mod pack.
This would allow for people who just play single player to really conform the mod pack to there exact play style. Also I would like to see other mods then just the ones in the Official FTB pack in that list (assuming FTB has mod authors permissions to do so). This would allow people to easily add mods like Timber or other mods that are not well suited for the official pack but still have the permissions of the mod author.
Any way this is what I would really love to see, I know that this would result in a few more complications but would make the pack very versatile.
