I've been experiencing some very localized FPS drops, and I've triangulated the problem to my modest production center, and when I say modest, I do mean it. There's no automation, just some basic machines, some generators and a lava tank. Now, I do drain lava from the Nether with chunk loaders, but the game runs smooth as silk, unless... I look at the production center. If I do, my FPS tanks. It becomes practically unplayable, and I prefer to keep my back turned in its direction if at all possible. I've tried turning off lava animations, but that did nothing. Closer inspection implies that looking at the chunk loader would be the cause; not it's function, but the block itself. To me, this sounds like a graphical problem.
The same was true of XyCraft quartz crystals, and I had to create a new world with that mod turned off completely, because the world just became laggier and laggier as I discovered new territory.
Any suggestions?
System specs, for the heck of it:
Core i5-3750K, 8GB RAM, SSD, Geforce GTX 560 Ti, Windows 7 64bit
