Power Tool mode switch

So I have been playing around with the power armor and tool and I changed the mode on it but Now I don't know how to change it back to the plasma ball shooter thing. any help?

Hit the hotkey that you've used to disable the plasma cannon. If you didn't assign a hotkey to it, go back to your tinker table and add the plasma cannon back in.
If it's already in the power tool, then I think you're bugged.

Shift + Scroll Wheel to switch between modes.

I believe there are four modes in total, the Plasma Cannon, the In-Place Assembler, the Blink Drive and the Multimeter. You probably know this already, but just in case: to have access to each of these modes you first need to install them using the Tinker Table.

How do I switch mode if I'm playing on a laptop ?
