Nether Quartz harvesting as ore?

I am currently playing a modpack I threw together and it works as well and good but I have one (potential) issue. Nether quartz harvests as the ore block despite not having silk touch. I don't know if this is a mod feature or a bug. Has anyone else experienced this?, Is it a feature of a mod that I don't know about?

One would have to know what mod are in your pack to begin to really help. I am pretty sure Gregtech has nether quartz like this, but who knows if you even have Gregtech installed?

@Kyle98750 Yes, it's GT. The GT Nether Quartz Ore is not the same as vanilla. Like all other GT large (not small) ores, it drops the whole ore block rather than "breaking" upon picking. You may have noticed the same thing with GT Redstone, Diamond, etc.,.

Like said above, Nether Ores also does that. You can turn it off in the config though (then it also won't explode and pigmen won't get mad)
