BoP and RTG both have 1.10.2 versions out. RTG doesn't add biomes, but it makes the ones you have look better. It also lets you config caves, ravines, dungeons and villages, although I'm currently having a problem with raw clay being very hard to find, even in swamps (I think the new stone types may be overwriting it). Terraqueous adds a variety of nice looking fruit trees & woods, but is currently crashing me at random.

Thaumcraft could maybe see a part in it, some of the addons in it add some naturey-botanic magic, though I'm unsure if Thaumcraft even has a version for 1.10...
I'm not too familiar with 1.10 mods IMHO. However, there is this Lava Furnace mod (look it up on Curse) that allows to have lava powered vanilla furnaces! but I'm not sure if there is even a version other then 1.7.10...

Have you checked our the Roots mod yet? Dierwolf20 is mucking around with it. Some handy tools and an interesting modification aspect to it

What about Embers?

It's by elucent (?), the author of Roots.

Looks quite interesting to me. Kind of like a form of magitech.

Blood Magic?

Quark by Vazkii? Adds in a lot of QoL additions such as clay spawns underground, as well as some increased challenges like, can't cheese the Endermens anymore (configurable). (Nevermind, saw that Quark is already in your list.)

Too bad AgriCraft isn't out (or at least publicly) for 1.10.2 yet.

While Thaumcraft 6 is still in closed alpha.

blocks that magically solve all the problems of the world, like IC2.

I applaud the sentiment, but I'd like to point out that ic2 is probably not the right example, IC2 doesn't solve all problems with just a few blocks.
The examples you are looking for are MFR, or EnderIO. That said, IC2 is not nature themed...

Anyway, I've recently read about a port of Ars Magica 2 to 1.10.2
Here is one post.
And here is an other

Maybe something to look into.

(know this is an old reply, but with OP bringing the thread up again..)
BoP + RTG + Streams Mod makes for a very nice natural looking world.
For Clay I suggest adding Pam's Clay Spawn.

You might want to take a look at what Terrafirmacraft uses to add a lot of the nature based aspects to their pack. The year had seasons to it, wherein tree leaves would change color and eventually drop, water will freeze over in the winter and crops will stop growing with snow everywhere. You had to plan ahead to make sure you had enough food preserved to last the duration (sealed pots or an icehouse). You could just hear the wind rustle the dead leaves after your fruit trees had given up their last harvest and wonder how bad this winter might be. As you rush off to the root cellar thinking to yourself that there was no time to finish the iron bloomer, bronze alloy will have to do until the spring thaw. Man I miss that mod pack - clay molds in a pit kiln, torches that die out, non-stackable blocks (no cobble/dirt huts), no tunnels or underground construction without properly shoring everything up, and never ever go out after dark...

TFC is awesome for some realism, but extremely grindy. I'm a bit naive to the Gregtech thing (speaking of "fabled grind") so I can't compare. When I want to play around with natural realistic stuff I use both Natura and Biomes O'Plenty, screw around with config files, and create a world where tofu is the only sustainable food option.

I do this because I can, not because I think MC cows have feelings. Also: I really appreciate the Improved Minecraft mod's livestock when doing pseudo-realistic worlds. I grew up rurally, and I know for a fact cattle don't like you killing them, and will attack you should you try to do so.

PVP? Really? I never play on a server and I adore witchery for what it does. Sure you can use poppets against other players (and curses), but you can use quite a bit of things from mods against other players (various traps in other mods, landmines etc etc) . *shrugs* honestly you have such a biased against witchery I doubt I can persuade you.

If the idea of tinkering with potions, circle magic *and no all of it doesnt need covenant witches, sure some does but not all), etc doesnt appeal then dont use it. I was merely making a suggestion of a mod that is heavy nature themed and contrary to popular belief isn't pvp centric. Or I would have grown bored with it long ago as I always play single player. But the potions, the fun circles (bartering with demons is always a hoot) itself is more then enough for me to adore every second, heck people make entire lets plays of single player witchery only that should say enough that there is way more then pvp.

I just now spent some time making treecutting/leafremoval potions to help me cut down a small forest, kinda nice since I dont have the terra axe thingy from botania yet, so cutting them down by hand would not have been fun. always keep a brew of webs handy as soon as i can make it in case i need to leg it from mobs before i reach the "yawn mobs, yeah yeah beat yourself tired on my armour" stage. etc. So much you can do with the brews alone. :) But perhaps I am strange in loving witchery on a single player world, I am strange in many other ways as well after all ^^

Witchery is brilliant - even if a server disables the Voodoo poppet nothing stops you casting a ritual of lightning on a way stone bound to a player, and then leaving the ritual running indefinitely.

The mods you mentioned are a mixture of 1.7.10 mods and 1.10.2+ mods... So What MC version is it going to be?
Some of the mods are going to be ported to 1.10+ eventually, but that is not all the certain for all of them.

Also, I like to add my vouch for Witchery, as it is a near perfect nature themed magic mod. But Again, although I have heard about plans for it to be ported to 1.10, as of right now it is a 1.7 mod and not much seems to be happening.
