I've been working through some more bee species in this mod pack, and some of them are giving me roadblocks because of the pairing of overworld and nether bees.
But my question has to do with the NEI interface, as I can work with the actual breeding process.
I'm looking at the recipe for Smouldering bees, and NEI shows Ghastly (overworld) and Hateful (nether) together. But NEI specifically shows a Ghastly queen with a Hateful drone, and the Smouldering bee only mutates in the Nether. The Ghastly bee cannot work in the nether or in nether-like environments, so it would seem that the mixture NEI offers cannot function as a mutation process--rather, you would need to use a Hateful queen and a Ghastly drone and hope that it mutates while the queen has the Hateful dominant gene.
So does anyone know the inner workings of NEI, whether it is indeed incorrect or whether I'm just missing something? Or perhaps it's not NEI but the recipe inserted by Magic Bees? I suppose that could make sense too.
I've noticed that NEI shows one combination of drone/queen when in most cases it can be swapped--probably just to get you out of the mindset that certain breeds MUST always be the queen--but in cases like this where it mixes the overworld/nether breeds, it seems odd to me that it would show this mixture if it cannot actually mutate into the desired result.
