In-game games? (aka something to do?)

i'm looking for something to do, other than the same old "build a house, build a whatever, log out because it's boring as hell".

so far, i've got a pretty short (and unoriginal) list of games:

arena pve/pvp
spleef
checkers/chess (although i haven't figured out a good way of representing chess pieces)
B-Team casino - large games of chance (dice and slots only, no cards), pig racing
maybe a huge pachinko machine
timed obstacle course (command blocks needed for that, right?)
ABBA for fun (since the materials are worthless in ftb)

i'd really like to implement some kind of ball games - soccer/football, hockey, something. i've seen some basketball and it pretty much falls short since the "ball" is in your inventory.

a less casual idea i had was "1 chunk challenge" where players make the most productive use of a single world chunk. i guess a mix of opinion and numbers determines the winner.

Creeper Mining is likely the most amusing game I've found to date. It's also extremely easy to start.

The rules of the game: You aren't allowed to use anything at all in regards to items/blocks/etc. Your goal is to find a creeper, and use it to mine stuff. You want to try and get higher value things such as coal, and the like.

The game originated from playing sans the 3x3 crafting grid, which means your first coal for torches (cannot make charcoal unless you get lucky and find a village extremely quickly as you don't have a furnace) needs to come from somewhere non-standard.

that's not forum pvp. That's just telling it how it is. There are tons of threads made by people that have no imagination, why don't you just read one of those threads instead of creating a new one. The suggestions don't change just because YOU asked.

an easy way to find them would be to look on my profile at threads I have posted in, I frequently feel the need to tell people to use the search function.

well, after searching thru 3 sub-forums and 198 of 1 poster's responses, i found only 1 borderline relevant post, in which the poster was lambasted for lacking imagination and links to building more of the same old stuff.

i asked what games are played within this game, provided a few examples of what i'm looking for, and the answer seems to be "get f*cked"

I some times enjoyn a varition on spleef.

Thaumcraft Spleef. Basicly instead of breaking the arena you run around and try to get something to fall through the fall using a poral hole. Seems a bit more tatical and the matchs last longer since the holes are short lived.[DOUBLEPOST=1364257943][/DOUBLEPOST]you could do a sort of ball game using the grav gun and some block as the ball.
