I need some help with power regulating in Direwolf 20 beta

The dynamos (I'm using compression and Magmatic) and the energy cells seem to have a mind of their own and I can't get them to draw power the way I want them to draw power, which is unfortunate to me because in FTB Ultimate about 8 months ago I had a power system that was running perfectly to me liking.

So I need to know if I can do something like it in Direwolf 20 beta (We run v1.0.18). In Ultimate my old power system worked like this: There was a central power area that handled bringing the power into it's self and sending the power out to all the machines requesting power, it could then ask for power from energy cells that stored power directly from my engines (Had magma and steam engines). Cool thing was, it drew from each of the engine's power stores equally. So when the power generation cells needed power, all the engines pumped at once until each cell was full and then they'd turn off.

I would really like this to be setup because this system I have now with dynamos just drains magma, does nothing with compression dynamos because ??? (For some reason the central Resonant Energy cell I set up will only draw from the magmatic dynamos), and generally confuses me how power draw works.

Optimally, I would like it to be that: The Resonant Energy Cell is the main power storage with all machines asking power from it, then it would request power from each of the 2 energy cells that are hooked up to both types of dynamos I use and ask from power equally from them, and then the dynamos would activate to restore power to their cells again.

Willing to look at other ways of power generation to get something that is smarter than this wasteful system I have setup. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can't tell from the pictures if your energy cell is configured right, make sure you have all input sides set to blue, all export sides set to orange and all nothing's set to the tannish one

RF power is a last in first out type of system. Or how ever you want to put it. In order to make an energy cell pull equally from multiple sources they have to be the same distance away in the line. In order to do what I believe you are trying to do, you have to do some creative line work in your build. Or just build in a complete symmetry.

I do notice however, that TE cells and conduits tend to bug out sometimes.

It's not the first time I had an energy cells hooked up, and I can see a ridiculous amount of power being drained, and I would be 100% sure that there's no power hogging machines on the network.

Breaking out the cell with a wrench and putting it back in solves the issue. Sometimes they do the opposite, and just don't charge, even if they're properly connected. Breaking and placing solves it too.

Doesn't happen too often, but happened often enough for me to notice it.

I redid my power generation to look like the attached photo.

I can't tell if the compression engines are just pumping more power into the cells but to my own eyes it looks like only the magmatic engines power cell is having power drawn from it.

Most likely this is caused by conduits filling and or using their internal buffer, it's not a "bug". Each conduit block does seem to have an internal buffer of 10k RF. So when you place 256 (4 stacks) conduits and connect an energy cell to it.. the conduits should "consume" about 2,5 million RF from the cell without any other machines present. Nothing to worry about, but can be confusing if you don't know.

I added 3 new magmatic engines to the Magmatic power cell and now it is purely charging too.

Okay, so all of this on it's own is confusing and doesn't tell me anything. Can I setup a ComputerCraft system that will monitor my power cells and show how much draw is being taken from each?

Solved it, made a "power pillar" out of the energy cells I had. The bottom takes power in and ports it to the two top cells that send the power into the conduit grid, there is also a comparator attached to the bottom cell that stops calling from the engines as long as it is above roughly 96% charge. That puts the engines on roughly a 15 second off and 5 second on cycle to keep my grid powered, it is saving so much magma and ethanol now.
