HSLA Steel converting

Ive researched this a little and found there to be some sort of issue with HSLA steel converting to GT steel?

Does anyone know the solution to this? The first time i made HSLA steel it worked fine. I just made a HUGE batch and its all GT steel now. Is there a specific config file that lets me not waste this???

I dont WANT GT steel. I want RoC steel but it auto converts! Its REALLY aggravating. You cant use GT steel for RoC recipes!

My bad, misread your question. Makes a lot more sense now, thanks :)

You are having a problem with GT unification. There's a bunch of configs for that stuff, and I'm pretty sure you could just turn it off for steel so that you don't have 4 different bronzes laying around. If not, there's a config in RoC that disables the oreDict of HSLA steel with regular steel.

Joking aside, go into your modpack folder, which can be found by going to wherever you have the launcher storing your modpacks (assuming FTB launcher). Once you find it, you go into the Minecraft folder and there'll be another folder titled config. Go in there, and there'll likely be a bunch of folders to do with GT. Skip over those and find the one titled "Reika". Go in there and find the RoC notepad file. In the notepad, find a line about HSLA steel oreDict'ing with other steel and set it to either true or false, whichever it isn't already.

Knowing gregtech, it'll be gone pretty quickly. Alternatively, there's a way of turning other steel into HSLA steel. Check out the steel purifier in the rotary craft handbook.
