Hello and good day. I would like to regenerate ores into my world within specific biomes using COFHcore. My concern is that my world's biomes are mapped differently than how my world seed would regenerate them (I'm using a save I successfully updated from 1.6.4). Would COFHcore's biome specific ore regen respect my current biomes by reading my world save, or would it distribute according to the seed's 1.7.10 biome placement?

I didn't see this touched on within the COFHcore world gen configuration thread, although it may have been more appropriate to post this question there. I apologize if this paragraph isn't where it is suppose to be.

I don't know...I would say try it out. You can use /cofh clearblocks to uncover all the ores.

The biome information is stored alongside the chunk - it's used for grass colors, for instance. In other words, it should work fine.
