How do I redirect what java minecraft uses?

Details of the issue:
Pretty much what the title is. Its using 1.8.0_25 I am trying to use Java 7 but i have no idea how to redirect it.​

You want to be using java 8 anyway if it is new packs you are playing.

If you want to play old packs and are using curse then change the java version in the curse minecraft options.
