So... I'm new to FTB but not to mods or Minecraft itself. My typical hobbies are reading (anything I can get my hands on), writing short fictions (thinking of starting a blog as my brains sporadic receptacle), Obsessing over things that are either not real or incredibly abstract, and occasional, yet very intense, gaming.
don't really know how the forums work other than the basic rules and such, but they didn't really answer my initial questions and I guess I'll ask those here?
1. Regarding 3rd party mods, is there an acceptable place to ask for help? I realize FTB cannot offer explicit support, however I was wondering if I could possibly ask for help as I don't know how to troubleshoot these issues myself.
2. In troubleshooting posts is it appropriate to ask for help with multiple issues, or should I make separate posts for separate issues?
3. Less pressingly, but probably more simple than the others, when are the best times to post? obviously this post will reside in the darkest hours of the Pacific USA, but are there specific times where people are more active than others?
Thank you for allowing me to join such a welcoming and terrifyingly immense community! I hope to stick around for quite a while.

Look behind you
1) I believe mod discussion is the place to go.
2) In technical support, yes, unless you believe they could be linked.
3) Well obviously, due to America being a thing the best time is pretty much whatever the middle of the place is, but this will make a very small difference to your post being responded to, if at all - people will find it and respond either way.

Thanks, I appreciate it :)

1: When looking at the threads that needed help it looked like most are posted in either tech support or general FTB chat.
2: it depends on how big the issue is, if its just help me to configure this thing and that thing then 1 thread should be fine for as long they use the same pack else it might get confusing. When its a crash, one issue at a time as they can take quite some time to fix(depending on the issue) and having to deal with 2 at the same time in a thread is just a recipe for disaster.
3: I don't really know when its best to ask for help.

Another thing: While the button Paste to pastebin.com on the console from the FTB launcher does its job it posts the whole log, which can get pretty big(read its always pretty big). If there is a crashlog in {your ftb install location}/{your pack}/minecraft/crash-reports that seems like the log for the crash you have then I personally prefer it if you would upload that to pastebin instead of the whole launcher log.

Thank you.
As for the logs, I'll definitely do that. I know I dislike scrolling through the entire log to find the errors.

Mods/mod development is a pretty good place to ask for help also, at least for help with single mod things, not so much for modpacks.
